Blogtour – Wednesday 19th September
Hi all,
Its been a while I know, but I have been super busy reading a mass of books by some wonderful authors. I will share all of these books with you in due course, but lets start with this charming little number. A big thumbs up must go to the wonderful blog host as always who invited me on this tour. I am so glad that I took her up on it. And also, I must thank Isabella May, the author for bringing this story to life.

I love a good book cover; and this one had me almost salivating over the churros! And let me tell you, the story itself is just as delightful. But before I tell you more about the story and leave you with my review, lets find out a bit more about the author.
The Author
Isabella May lives in (mostly) sunny Andalucia, Spain with her husband, daughter and son, creatively inspired by the sea and the mountains.
When she isn’t having her cake and eating it, sampling a new cocktail on the beach, or ferrying her children to and from after school activities, she can usually be found writing.
As a co-founder and a former contributing writer for the popular online women’s magazine, The Glass House Girls – http://www.theglasshousegirls.com – she has also been lucky enough to subject the digital world to her other favourite pastimes, travel, the Law of Attraction, and Prince (The Purple One).
She has recently become a Book Fairy, and is having lots of fun with her imaginative ‘drops’! Costa del Churros is her third novel with Crooked Cat Books, following on from the hit sensations, Oh! What a Pavlova and The Cocktail Bar.

About the Book
The rain in Spain doesn’t mainly fall on the plain…
Brits abroad Belinda, Julia, Laura and Georgina need more than the sweetness of churros with chocolate dipping sauce to save them from their unsavoury states of affairs.
Cue Carmen Maria Abril de la Fuente Ferrera, the town’s flamboyant flamenco teacher!
But can she really be the answer to their prayers?
One thing’s for sure: the Costa del Sol will never be the same again.

My Review
The life of a British Ex-Pat isn’t always rosy and filled with fun, as we find out when we read about the lives of four women living in sunny Spain. The background is beautiful in this story, but all is not well within the lives of Belinda, Laura, Georgina and Julia. I loved how we read from each point of view; how each character was different in personality and lifestyle and how they all came together.
From page one of this book, I was intrigued and eager to see how the story panned out. I loved the fiery-ness of Julia, the ambitiousness of Laura, the un-happily married Belinda and gorgeous Georgina. Each has a past; each had a reason for coming to Spain and each is looking for something more than what they came for. The book touches on some interesting topics and made for a very wonderful read. I loved the interaction between characters; the dialogue was well written and believable, making this a very enjoyable read.
I was more and more gripped with each chapter that I read; I didn’t want to put the book down and read it quickly over a couple of days. Sometimes friendships come from the most unlikely of places; and this book brought four women together who were brilliantly relatable.
If you have a sunny holiday planned somewhere; add this beauty to your suitcase! You will not be disappointed.
My Conclusion
From the likeable characters to the beautiful setting, this book was enchanting from the start. I stayed up late reading this book as I couldn’t put it down.
Worth a read! Give it a go!
My Rating – 4 out of 5 stars!
